People badly need to be reminded that this school is good only in comparison with the majority of schools in Enfield, which are absolutely appalling. It's very much a case of the one-eyed man in the kingdom of the blind. It should also be remembered that this was once an International Baccalaureate Diploma school: the gold standard world wide, and much better than UK A-levels. It is a stinging indictment on both the quality of it's teachers, and the kind of students that this school takes, that Highlands regressed to offering A-levels instead. From what I can discern, the teaching at this school is not particularly good, and as for it's students, as a tutor, I have gotten the very strong impression that the majority of them are spoilt, mollycoddled and lazy.
Eh this school is ok, but the teachers really need to sort out the year 11's cause on training day they go and beat up everyone, and some bullying goes on too and some of the school meals are meh but yeah, i made some really good friends on the other hand so yeah, mans got friends
Being at the school since Year 7, I believe that Highlands is a fantastic school with everything that your children need. As a Sixth Former, I can say that there have been a lot of changes made to the school, such as more ICT classrooms, books for the library and more opportunities within the school such as prefect duty, lunchtime duty, work experience with specific subjects and more choice for GCSE's and A Level subjects.
